This session will explore the pressing challenge of mobilising capital for climate adaptation and resilience. As momentum builds ahead of COP30, we’ll examine how to strengthen investor confidence, integrate physical climate risk and resilience frameworks, and unlock finance, particularly for vulnerable regions.

The session will open with a global overview of the adaptation finance landscape, including the UK’s role in enabling capital flows and economic resilience. We’ll then spotlight practical tools – such as IIGCC’s Physical Climate Risk Assessment Methodology (PCRAM), the Climate Resilience Investment Framework (CRIF) and risk and resilience metrics – through real-world examples.

The session will feature insights from a panel of leaders across government and finance. Speakers will explore the need for increased investor confidence in resilience opportunities and will feature a 'call to collaborate' between public and private sector investors. This engaging discussion is sure to help shape the path forward for resilience investment.
