This session will showcase successful approaches to financing urban resilience and bridging funding gaps, with real-world examples and expert dialogue on innovative finance, access to climate funds and inclusive strategies. A world café session will foster interactive discussion on innovative climate finance.

This event will show different ways to finance urban resilience projects. It will showcase initiatives that have successfully mobilised climate finance and shine a light on key considerations and challenges, bringing together key decision-makers from government, financial institutions and the private sector.

Participants will explore real-world examples and case studies of innovative financing strategies, discuss barriers to accessing international climate finance, and assess the enabling conditions needed to attract public and private financing. Emphasis will be placed on inclusive financing approaches that ensure vulnerable populations are not left behind.

The discussion will aim to address the challenges of securing investment for climate adaptation and resilience and explore innovative financial instruments to bridge funding gaps. The event will culminate in an interactive world café session with expert speakers on innovative climate finance.
